Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2025
I keep this site fast, simple, and respectful of your privacy. Below is what actually happens here in plain English.
What I collect
- Basic analytics (Google Analytics 4). Page views, referrers, device/browser info, approximate location (from IP), and events like in-page navigation. This runs only if you opt in to analytics cookies via the banner or “Cookie Settings.”
- Contact form. If you submit the form, I store what you send (name, email, message) so I can reply. The form uses hCaptcha to stop spam.
- Server/hosting. The site is hosted on Netlify; standard server logs are maintained by the platform.
Cookies & consent
This site uses Consent Mode v2. By default, analytics storage is denied. If you accept analytics, GA4 can set/read cookies to improve accuracy. If you prefer not to, choose “Essential Only” or use the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer at any time.
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track, I respect that and keep analytics disabled unless you explicitly opt in.
Processors I use
- Google Analytics 4 — site measurement. IP addresses aren’t stored by GA4. Aggregated reports may be hosted in the U.S. You can opt out via Cookie Settings.
- Netlify — static hosting and serverless function for the contact form.
- hCaptcha — bot protection on the contact form (essential cookie when invoked).
Data retention
I keep contact form submissions only as long as needed to respond. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for a limited period per GA settings. I don’t sell or trade your data. Ever.
Your choices
- Change your preferences any time with the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
- Use the contact form if you want me to remove prior messages you sent.
